Introduction to glasses that suit aluminum frames
โดย admin     2019-01-28

A key function of glasses is to separate two spaces from each other. At the same time, the features of being transparency and translucent of glasses are as if they borrowed the atmosphere of the other side. That’s why glasses are a crucial part of the concept, “Inside Out-Outside In,” depicting the nature outside as the views of the house, and adjoining the inside atmosphere to the outside.

However, behind these clear glasses, there are also different features created from an innovative development of materials to fulfil the needs and appearance requirements of the users. Aluminum frames are one of the popular materials to be used as door/window frames, as it is durable and attractive. Type of glass should be well selected to match with the aluminum frame for beautiful designs of each opening and durability throughout its useful life.

Tempered Glass

A security glass that is popular nowadays. It has been furthered developed from conventional clear glasses. Its strength was generated from the compression process and immediate cooling down, resulting in 4 time stronger and even better anti-active force. If a tempered glass is hit to break, it will be broken for the whole, not just cracking like other glasses.

As a result, one thing you should know about tempered glass is that, you should previously measure the size you require, because any glass that has already been through the tempering process cannot be cut or hit anymore.

Laminated Glass

It is another type of security glasses created from joining two pieces of glasses by using Polyvinyl Butyral or PVB, which is a film sheet that makes the glasses strongly adjoined and specially clear. A good thing for this film sheet is that it will hold the glass together when it breaks, as broken glasses are dangerous to the users. Moreover, as it is a double-layered glass, it is superior to conventional glasses in terms of soundproofing and anti-ultraviolet radiant.

A laminated glass can be noticed from turning to a side of the glass. If you see two glasses attaching like a sandwich with a thin film sheet in the middle, it is the laminated glass.

This type of glasses is composed of two pieces of glass, in the same way as the laminated glass is, but the two glasses in this case are connected with a gap (dried air), or Argon gas, which is inert gas. In the middle, there is a layer to prevent heat transfer between the glasses. The air ventilating inside, therefore, is in a lower temperature than the outside. This glass is able to well maintain the temperature inside. As a result, some people may call this glass a heat insulating glass, because the gap in the middle acts as a heat insulating layer for the glass itself and the house.

Apart from being anti-heat, it can also prevent disturbing sounds effectively due to its properties.

Tinted Glass

If talking about cooling down a house, tinted glass may be in the top choices for the Thais. As clear by its name—tinted glass, its most outstanding feature is its ability to prevent and reflect sunlight energy while still allowing sunlight into the house.

We feel enjoyable in using tinted glasses due to its choices of colors generated from the mixture of metal oxide during the manufacturing process. Moreover, you can choose your preferred heat reflective level and the quantity of light controlled.

This type of glass is superior to the tinted glass. Though their principles are the same, its outer surface has been changed to be pure silver, functioning as a heat insulating layer. Its feature is distinctive in terms of energy saving, because it helps reduce heat collected inside the house. Therefore, energy cost and electricity cost can be reduced.

It now depends on you to choose whether which type of glass will best fulfil your requirements and match your needs in terms of functions, appearance, and budget aimed. On the other hand, designers and specialists on doors/windows can also help you out with your questions and fulfil your needs to the most extent.
